Final Shoot: CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE!
For your last film roll of Photo 1, you will get to choose exactly how & what you want to shoot.
This is an opportunity to reflect on your work this year, showcase you strengths, and maybe even take some new risks.
STEP 1: IDENTIFY YOUR OWN PHOTOGRAPHIC APPROACH - Complete the brainstorming work & show Ms. Klim to discuss your ideas
STEP 2: CHOOSE A "MENTOR" - Choose a master photographer (from the list below OR on your own) as your inspiration/muse for this assignment. This will help guide your vision/aesthetic and pinpoint what exactly you want to shoot.
STEP 2: CHOOSE A "MENTOR" - Choose a master photographer (from the list below OR on your own) as your inspiration/muse for this assignment. This will help guide your vision/aesthetic and pinpoint what exactly you want to shoot.
- Create a page(s) in your sketchbook that includes images of at least 5 of their photographs that you find inspiring. (PRINT + CUT & PASTE)
- Annotate your images with the following: Describe their voice/approach as a photographer. What feeling do their photographs have? What do you see in each photograph that interests you? Is there anything in their photos that you might want to try? (refer to sketchbook examples below)
- an overall description of what your style/interests are as a photographer, and what you hope to capture in your photos
- how you are using your "mentor" artist's work as inspiration (what aspects of their approach are you going to try?)
